#104 | Brett Masserant - 13,186 push-ups in 8 hours, battling Spinocerebellar Ataxia and helping others heal
Brett Masserant is the owner of Accelerated Innovative Recovery and he has achieved several world records such as doing 13,186 pushups in 8 hours. When Brett turned 30, he was diagnosed with spinal Spinocerebellar Ataxia which is a hereditary disease that produces degenerative changes in the cerebellum, the part of the brain responsible for movement control.
Brett and I discuss what it’s like to exercise for over half of your life, the monumental challenge of doing so many pushups in a few hours, dealing with Brett and his father’s Spinocerebellar Ataxia and being of service to other people. My conversation with Brett had me fired up to get after my passions and be of service to my communities.
